THE DONKEY IN THE ROOM

Every time a
man with a gun murders a crowd of innocent people in the name of Allah, Our Young
Messiah of Hope and Change breaks out his stock “Guns Are Evil” notes and
earnestly, in his best professorial classroom manner, lectures the American
Public and the breathlessly waiting World on the reasons for the latest tragedy
and the way to keep it from “ever happening again.” The problem is always the
evil gun—the solution is always to bend the second amendment a little
farther—to strengthen the government’s hand in the crusade to eventually
totally disarm the people who are no end of trouble to an imperial Presidency
and an autocratic entrenched Federal bureaucracy.
As usual, a
fawning, malleable liberal media generates an uproar and demands “a reasonable
debate” on the subject of gun control. What is always missing from this
“discussion” is any sign of a willingness to “call a spade a spade,” to “give
evil a name and face.”
It has long
been a common understanding in the business world that “a problem fully defined
is a problem half-solved.” The progressive liberal establishment has
steadfastly persisted, either willfully, or in gross ignorance, to refuse to
mention this “donkey in the room,” at least until today—actually properly
naming the problem is the necessary first step.
For years The
Lexington Herald-Leader has been a cheerleader for the progressive liberal
agenda. Saturday, June 18, its Opinion page timidly stuck one toe into a
previous forbidden area with two letters to the Editor:
STOP BLAMING GUNS
All the talk
about gun control every time there’s a mass shooting is really getting old. It’s
your constitutional right to own a gun. If you don’t like our Constitution, move.
Second, guns don’t kill people, just as cars don’t kill people. People kill
people. Normal people use guns as protection and to feed their families;
abnormal people use guns to kill or commit crimes.
This comes from
a proud American who believes in our Constitution and does not own a gun. Keith Watson, Lexington
ISLAM SOURCE OF
TERRORISM
The media say these acts of violence are done by terrorists.
They are done by Islamic terrorists. When we say terrorists, we mean Muslim assassins.
Islam says love
the good and hate what is evil. However, the good is only what the Quran says,
and the evil is anything contrary to what Islam teaches. Evil includes
infidels, i.e. Christians and Jews, homosexuals and lesbians, and the western
way of life, with all its brilliance and freedom of achievement.
Make no mistake:
Sharia laws are hidden beneath the surface of Islam in America, like a latent
disease or a bomb. Muslims here cannot escape these religious-political beliefs
and keep quiet while believing Allah will reward them for doing their evil. Keith A. Williams Lexington
Together,
these two letters go farther than the current administration has ever gone
before towards accurately naming the source of the problem to be defined and
solved.
The Donkey in
the room has dumped a large malodorous load of the half-digested fruit of
obsessive political correctness smack into the center of the public square.
There are two
notable things about these letters.
1.
There
are 7 letters in the Letters section today. In addition to these two there are 2
more conservative ones that would not normally show up here. The “fair and
balanced” stance of the Letters section usually carries only one letter.
2.
More
significantly, the people who write the headlines for the letters here can
seldom resist the temptation to contradict the bodies of the letters, to spin them
in a leftward direction. They did not do that today…truly amazing!
So far this
has been essentially an introduction to the
Donkey in the Room—the name this administration adamantly will not name—radical Islamist terrorism.
Exact numbers are hard to pin
down, but it is estimated that there are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world of 7
billion people today and that approximately 200 thousand of them are radical, Islamic
extremist on jihad (Holy war). The politically correct way to view these
numbers in America today is to describe the mass of non-jihadis as “peacefull,
peaceloving Muslims,” or “true Islam,” and refuse to associate the 200,000
extremists with Islam in any way.
I challenge you to step back
from the smoke and mirror chaos of the present mess we are in and learn some basic
facts about Islam:
1.
Founder:
Muhammad (570—632 AD)
2.
Early Teachings:
Muhammad’s normative example and oral declarations (called the sunnah, composed of accounts called hadith)
of Muhammad.
3.
Book: Quran,
a religious text considered by its aherents to be the verbaitim word of God (Allah). The Quran is unalterable, the
last revelation of God’s word, and only authoritative in the Arabic language
original.
4.
The Law: Sharia Law is Islamic law , the religious/
legal system governing the
members of the Islamic faith. It is derived from the religious precepts of
Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith.
5.
God: The Aramaic word for "God" in the language of Assyrian Christians
is ʼĔlāhā, or Alaha.
Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the
word "Allah" to mean
"God". The actual content of the word “God” varies widely from Islam
to Judaism to Christianity.
6.
Finally,
Muslims believe their Allah is the One and only true God, that Muhammad was his
final prophet, that Islam is the one true religion, that and all the world must
eventually become Islamic in religion and politics. This will be an apocalyptic
event precipitated by the return of the Mahdi,
A Messiah similar to the
Messiah of Judaism. Various Muslim groups differ in exactly who this will be
but all their guesses feature the second coming of one or another revered Imam
from the past, possibly even Christ who will have finally seen the light and
repented.
With this very brief summary
in mind I further challenge you to read the Quran,
the Hadith, and the early history (700-1300 AD) of the spread of Islam. Only
the arabic text of the Quran is
considered authoritative but there are numerous good translations of it and the
Hadith as well. The history is
tangled and often contradictory, depending on the bias of the historian—the
safest way to get something like a straight story is to find a history book
used by Homeschoolers.
Having done this with due
diligence, if you are still with me, I finally challenge you to imagine what Muhammad
would do if he should return today to reform the religion he founded.

IF YOU ATTEMPT TO PUT ON MUHAMMAD’S SANDALS AND WALK A BIT IN THE CURRENT
DESERT THAT IS AMERICAN POPULAR CULTURE. BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS MENTAL WALK, PUT
ON A “WHAT WOULD MUHAMMAD DO?” BRACELET.
Based on his
Book, his teachings, and the nature of his God, Here is what I think Muhammad
would do, by the numbers:
1.
He
would double check the iffy estimate of 200,000 serious (serious enough to kill
infidels and apostates who will not convert to Islam) Jihadis hiding in the 1.6
billion Muslims alive and well today.
2.
He
would designate the serious Jihadis as The Army of Allah to reform his
religion—call them the HSA, The Homicidal Sons of Allah, for short. In Muslim
eschatology this army will carry black flags and destroy Jerusalem. ISIS takes
their banner right out of the teachings of the return of the Mahdi.
3.
He
would instruct the HSA to begin with the apostate Muslims, and when they are all
either back in fold or dead, move on to the infidels.
4.
Starting
in those countries where the political component of Islam is the dominant force
in the government, he would evangelize all the infidels with the offer:
“convert or die.”
5.
Next
he would start cleaning out the infidel holdouts left in the same way the job
is now being done in the West where useful idiots with their heads in the sand
give them cover.
6.
Then,
when the worldwide Caliphate is firmly established, Muhammad will announce the
arrival of the true peace of Islam. This is the only peace Islam acknowledges--the
peace that comes through total submission to Allah and his prophet.
7.
But
this is only partly correct since before Muhammad could really get the job
done, the Muslim Messiah, or Mahdi will have returned and taken over to finish
the job. (Google Mahdi and read about him on some of the Muslim sites)
SELAH! STOP AND THINK IT OVER! Pause once more to think it over.
Think about the biggest question asked in the wake of the latest mass terrorist
killing in America by American citizens radicalized and recruited on social
media—“How can a young man with all the advantages of western civilization be
transformed into a Homicidal Son of Allah, willing to give his life in the
process of murdering innocent men, women and children?”
The short answer is that we live in a
culture of death created and nourished by progressive liberal ideology primarily
rooted in the contemporary democratic party—and often enabled by useful idiots
of the other parties making up the professional political elite.
The President
is very fond of Global Warming—it is the subject he loves to run to whenever
the critics of his foreign or domestic policy
attempt to
hold him accountable for his massive policy failures both home and abroad. Most
Americans do not believe that global warming is the greatest threat today to
America. In this case, as in many other cases, the voice of the people is
totally irrelevant and immaterial to the President, his colleagues and most of
the rest of the professional politicians who run the country.
Without going
any farther, I will tell you what I think is the greatest threat to the United
States of America, and secondarily, to the world today. America is well on the way to national suicide by drinking the cool-aid
of the progressive liberal political ideology that presently rules the country.
The best way to define this threat is to list some examples of the rotting
fruit of this ideology, scattered across the country in time and space like
shovel-ready piles of donkey dung. The first and pivotal event occurred in
1973.
ABORTION
In 1973, the Supreme Court
found a right in the constitution for a pregnant woman to contract for the
murder of her baby in the womb. In the original decision there were minimum
restrictions but soon further court rulings expanded that right to what amounted
to “any time for any reason, until the baby was fully free of the birth canal.”
The final nail in the coffin

This ruling
contained the infamous “mystery passage;”
At the heart of liberty is the right
to define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and the
mystery of human life.
This had the
effect of enshrining autonomous (auto=self—nomos=law)
man in law as the highest moral and ethical reference point in the
universe. It was the golden seal of approval on the relativistic, godless,
humanistic religion of politically correct progressive liberalism. It decreed
that there is no higher accountability in the Cosmos than the feelings, wishes
and opinions of the individual person.
Between 1973,
when Roe v. Wade was decided, and 2008, nearly 50 million legal abortions have
occurred in the U.S. (Over 95% were for convenience). Guttmacher Institute
Today, and
everyday, the blood of over 50,000,000 murdered babies cries out from the
ground for justice. The second main example is public education.
EDUCATION
When you
teach young children that the world revolves around them, their feelings,
opinions and wants, the downward trajectory of progressive liberal education that
has enabled the development of the culture of death is inevitable.
Objective
truth, transcendental accountability, Hebrew/Christian values, have long ago
been driven out to be supplanted by the
creed of autonomous man:
Feelings are knowledge.
Opinions are truth.
All sincerely held
opinions are equal.
Science,
technology and progress are gods that happily co-exist with many false gods,
but will not tolerate even the idea of the One, True, Triune God, maker and
sustainer of all that is, all that ever was and all that ever will be.
DIVERSITY
Based on
these two things, the deification of Diversity has taken its seat on the throne
beside Political Correctness. Infinite
tolerance has become the only virtue, and entertaining even the
thought of absolute values, right and wrong, true and false, good or evil, is
the only sin, frowned upon and actively suppressed across the whole culture
today.
The following
things are also part of the toxic cool aid being fed daily to the American
public. They are more or less self-explanatory, and would take many more pages
to flesh out. You can fill in the blanks.
MAJOR DYSFUNCTIONS IN THE MACHINERY OF
THE AMERICAN DREAM
v The Executive Branch: An erstwhile Imperial Presidency and an administration with little regard
for the Constitution, the rule of Law, and the voice of the people—except when
the people have their hands out and cry “give, give, give!”
v The Legislative Branch: Career Politicians paralyzed by ambition and lust for power and
essentially deaf to the voice of the people they are sworn to serve—except
where listening to the people can be exchanged for action at the ballot box.
v The Judicial Branch: Politicized activists prone to write law in line with the progressive
liberal agenda rather than to determine the constitutionality of laws made by
the Legislators.
v The Constitution: Ravaged by an imperial Presidency and an activist Judiciary to the point
where only a constitutional convention could possibly restore its health and
integrity.
While we hold
fruitless debates on more gun control laws and cross-gender public toilets, the
grim specter of Apocalyptic Messianic Islam slouches out of the desert towards
Jerusalem. Among the nearly 68 million people of Iran, the vast majority are
Muslim who place their hope not in modern-day politics or rulers but in a
person who walked the earth centuries ago and is promised to return.
Both Islam
and Christianity have a very well-defined eschatology, or period of the last
days; both of them cannot be correct. A majority of Shiite Muslims
traditionally believe a 12th century Imam (Islamic religious
leader), born in 868 A.D., was placed by God (Allah) into hiding (known as
occultation) until the day of judgment. This man is called the Mahdi, an Arabic word
that generally refers to a messiah, or a guide.
The Mahdi
will come to show them the way, because the prayer of every Muslim five times a
day ends with Show us the right path, not
the path of those who have incurred your anger or those who are lost, but those
upon grace has come. The name
of this Mahdi varies among different strains of Islam but the strongest
contender is the Shiite candidate, Muhammad ibn Hassan, 12th in the
line of Imams who were descended from the Prophet Muhammad. Though they do not
know when the Mahdi will return, they believe he will come to relieve the
misery of his people. Some strains even believe that Jesus will be the Mahdi
who will return and proclaim Islam as the true religion. Jihad, holy war, is
nothing less than violent preparation for this Mahdi’s second coming.
The world is
at an apex of technological advancement yet it seems that humanity only grows more deplorable and
sinful. This is because fallen man cannot evolve morally, and all attempts at
his “human betterment” result in failure.
What good we
still have is what’s left of the spiritual capital of Christianity, but as that
declines, so will our culture decline—unless we work to restore it. Without the
spiritual capital of a God-centered and Biblical faith, we are spiritually and
morally bankrupt as a nation.
Surely the Second Coming is
at hand.
