HAREM CURTAIN
GOAFS II: #61
HAREM CURTAIN
SEPTEMBER 25, 2013
One of the things that our “young messiah of hope and change”
has changed is the preferred backdrop for his television appearances before the
American People. He seems to prefer a golden drape with part of the American
flag, perhaps for a touch of color. Have you noticed this? Have you ever
wondered why this might be? I have pondered it and suggest two possible reasons.
First, the golden drape is a visual reminder of the imperial
pretensions of President Obama. He has extended the power of the Executive
faster and farther than any of his predecessors. He has done this at the
expense of the rule of law, the constitutional separation of powers, and the
Bill of Rights. He has consistently acted as if the framers had not only
considered but chosen “His Highness, The President of the United States” as the
proper title for his office. Obama’s “Imperial Presidency” has been commented
on at length by scholars, pundits and even critics in his own party. I will say
no more on this point—Google “imperial presidency Obama” and you will get
259,000 hits.
I suggest that the second reason for the golden drape is President
Obama’s non-stop five year pander to the pathological sensitivities of the
adherents of Islam to any critical questions or any rational evaluations. Obama
has spent his whole time in office so far attempting to ignore the homicidal
sons of Allah whose one goal in life is to subdue or destroy all other
religions and rule the world.
What are my reasons for thinking this gold drape is a tool of
the President’s confused and largely incoherent foreign policy? I will just
list a few.
1.
Notice when the gold drape is used, only a part
of the flag is shown—some stars, some stripes, but never the eagle at the top
of the flag staff. Also notice (if you have HD TV) that the woven fabric of the
drape has no likenesses of any living creatures on it. In the Ahadith (the
alleged sayings of Mohammad reported by his disciples and held to be almost
equal to the Koran in authority) it is written:
“Ayisha reported she had bought a cushion having tasawir (images) on it. When Allah’s
Messenger saw it, he stopped at the door and did not enter. She said, ‘O
Allah’s Messenger! I turn to Allah and His Messenger in repentance. What sin
have I committed?” The Prophet replied, ‘What is this cushion for?’ I said, ‘I
have bought it for you to sit and recline on.’ Allah’s Messenger said, ‘the
makers of the images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and it will be
said to them, “make alive what you have created.”’ The Prophet added, ‘angels
do not enter a house in which there are images.’ (Bukhari, Muslim)
Ibnu Abbas narrated that Allah’s Messenger said,
‘Every image maker will be in the fire of hell. A soul will be made for him for
every image which he has made, and it will punish him in the hell fire’…Ibnu
Abbas advised a person who asked about images, ‘I advise you to make images of
trees, everything that does not have a soul.’ Bukhari
Both God and Moses would be surprised at what Mohammad
and his followers have made of Exodus 20.4 where the creation of idols to
worship is forbidden. In Islam, any visual representation of any living
creature with a soul, or the capability of having a soul, is automatically
judged idolatrous, and a ticket straight to hell.
Does President Obama believe this? Probably not.
I do not think he is actually a Muslim, but the way he accommodates the extreme
sensitivities of Islam would make you wonder. I would suggest that the golden
harem curtain without the eagle on the flag is a very deep bow to these
sensitivities.
2.
Sebastian Gorka (Military Affairs Fellow with the
Foundation for Defense of Democracy, teaches irregular warfare to the U.S.
Military and federal enforcement) comments on this care taken not to offend the
easily offended homicidal sons of Allah in the September 21st issue
of World Magazine.
“In September 2011, at the highest levels of the
U.S. Government, the decision was made to purge all counterterrorism training
within the departments of Defense and Justice of any mention of religion or
Jihadi ideology. This decision—which was, in effect, censorship—led to the
banning of core training materials and the blacklisting of many of America’s
leading experts both within the FBI and numerous military institutions.
(This was, no doubt, a well-intentioned, but
misguided effort to protect Muslims who are American citizens from unfair
persecution simply on the basis of their religion.)
“Since that time, a system has been put in place
whereby nameless officials (part of the vast, entrenched liberal progressive
bureaucracy that runs the country and does what it pleases, no matter which
party is in power) serve as the arbiters of what can or cannot be said about Al
Qaeda and its deadly allies. The identity of these gatekeepers remains secret,
and what’s more, should individuals run afoul of the censors, there is no
recourse and no appeal. As a result, official talk of the enemy has become
vague and amorphous. The official label for events such as the Boston bombing
became “violent extremism,” and the Fort Hood shooting was designated
“workplace violence.”
“The connective tissue between 9/11, Boston,
Benghazi and Damascus is indeed an ideology of extremism, but a very specific
kind. It is a totalitarian and absolutist vision of a future in which only one
religion is permitted and all dissenters must be killed or subjugated.”
“Today for political reasons it is forbidden to
make these connections (to connect these dots) needed to prevent the next mass
casualty attack on U.S. soil…as long as we continue to deny the existence of
the common ideology that motivates the enemy, we will continue to fail in
identifying those who wish to do us harm before they do so, and, as in Syria,
we run the even greater risk of empowering those who wish to see our
destruction.
3.
The past five years of our Islam-friendly
Executive has opened all the doors for this deadly threat to move in and begin
destroying us from the inside out. Here is an example reported by Dave Gubnatz
in August of this year:
A
couple of months ago I had the opportunity to visit the Islamic Center of San
Antonio, San Antonio, TX. The research findings were typical of most Sunni
mosques around America. This is a Salafist (Wahhabi) mosque. Inside were the
typical violent materials such as Fiqh Us Sunnan, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Riyadh Al
Salheen, and more.
The
research findings were not a surprise since I have seen this type mosque
hundreds of times during my research. What was interesting is the Islamic
Center is near Lackland AFB. This is one of the U.S. Military’s largest training
bases. All USAF personnel must conduct their initial training on this base.
1.
The Imam is Yousef Said, PHD. Most of the worshippers are from
Pakistan/Sunni-Salafist.
2.
They had all the materials that identify them as supporting Al Qaeda, Hamas,
Muslim Brotherhood.
3. There
is strict Sharia adherence. Many of the young girls were completely veiled.
4.
The Center has a strong security team on the grounds 24 hours a day.
5.
I met several men, the Imam, custodians, and their head of security.
The
Islamic Center is closely linked to Masjid Beit El Magdes, 7627 Culebra Rd.,
San Antonio. They are also behind the Mosque on Lackland AFB. A Brother Jeffrey
is the Imam at the Lackland mosque. I
was informed the new USAF recruits at Lackland must study Islam and attend the
mosque on base. Brother Jeffrey has a goal of recruiting or converting at
least 3 Airmen per week. Thus far they have had no problem doing this.
What
I found disturbing was that non-Muslim AF trainees at Lackland attend Islamic
services at the mosque
while the U.S. military has clamped down on
military members having any connection to the Christian and Jewish faith, or
speaking to one another about their religious beliefs. The military leaders are
encouraging and demanding non-Muslim
USAF members attend Islamic services.
It
is a sad day when our military leaders are emerging more as politicians than
military men and women. It is sad that our USAF trainees are being shuttled to
Islamic services and ultimately recruited by Islamic leaders at the rate of
three per week, just on this base alone.
Not only is it sad that our
military men and women are having to listen to the propaganda of Islamic
leaders, it is a national security concern. Sharia law and the U.S.
constitution are in no way compatible, and one can't serve both Allah (Muslim
God) and the God of Christians and Jews. They also can't faithfully serve our
country and Sharia law at the same time.
This has grown way too long
but I could not make it shorter and make my point. Think of these things every
time you see the golden harem curtain behind our President. He would like
nothing better than a “Shari-compliant” public square surrounded by signs
saying, “Christians not welcome.”

FRIENDS
SEPTEMBER 4, 2013
“Some ‘friends’ pretend to be friends,
but a true friend
sticks closer than a brother.” This proverb (18.24) has generally been understood to be a
reference to Jesus Christ by Christians. Euripides (Greece, 485-406 BC) put it this way: “A loyal friend is worth 10,000 relatives.”
Today, the most pervasive “friend” appears to be the
ubiquitous cell phone. Here is a recent observation on this:
“When the subjects heard
or saw their iPhones ringing, their brain scans displayed not the classic signs
of addiction but a firing of neurons ‘in the insular cortex of the brain, which
is associated with feelings of love and compassion.’ It was as if they were in
the presence of a ‘girlfriend, boyfriend or family member’. These people
actually ‘loved their iPhones,’ (which are constantly reshaping human
consciousness by providing a constant stream of rewarding texts, emails, tweets
and other communications and have also become something akin to “a best friend,
partner, lifeline, companion)” Martin Lindstrom, NY Times reporting on functional magnetic resonance
imaging testing of iPhone users.
I
summarized this in my notes as “The Droid that Sticketh closer than a brother.”
I could wax overlong and gloriously eloquent about the ways in which the
cell-phone differs, from a human friend and even more from the indwelling
Christ. But that would be self-indulgent and not fair to the cell-phone, which
does, after all, have a few positive uses.
The
point of this posting is to record an observation and make a suggestion.
The
other day my wife and I were eating our berry-topped pancakes at The Cracker
Barrel. A young man (late twenty-something I would guess) came in at sat at the
table next to us. He was carrying a book. The waitress came and took his order,
then he got his cell phone out of his pocket, and turned it off. Either no one
had texted him lately or he didn’t care. He put the phone back in his pocket
and gave close attention to his book. As we were getting ready to leave, I
noticed he was underlining something in the book, using a straight-edged
bookmark. Most of his breakfast had gotten cold—apparently the book was more
interesting. This struck me as quite unusual.
As
we left, I stopped and said to him, “Excuse me but you have made my day. Seeing
you turn off your cell phone and give serious attention to a book gives me hope
for the future of the younger generation. Keep up the good work.”
He
reached out to shake my hand, said “thank you” with a very big smile that clearly
said, “You have made my day too!”
The suggestion is that we all, as we are able, affirm the
readers of books, and the turners off of cell phones whenever we can.
P.S. A related item, just off the press on Facebook:
“The data now exist for Acting
Surgeon General Rear Admiral Boris
D. Lushniak , M.D.,
MPH to place a warning label on the Facebook homepage, not unlike that which
exists on packages of tobacco cigarettes.
“Facebook has been linked, in
numerous clinical trials both here and around the world, to feelings of intense
envy, dissatisfaction with life, insomnia, major depression, disrupted
friendships and feelings of isolation -- especially in young people. Facebook
may well be addictive, as well—just like tobacco.
“Many young people have told me,
in my practice of psychiatry, that they want to stop using Facebook and feel it
negatively impacts their lives, but ‘just can’t stop.’ My colleagues tell
me they are hearing the same thing from their patients.” Dr. Keith
Ablow.
